Join us for a very special storytime in the garden, featuring our special guest, author/illustrator Joan Waites! Joan will read A Colorful Tail: Finding Monet and A Purr-Fect Painting: Matisse’s Other Great Cat.

Joan Waites is an award-winning illustrator of numerous titles and the author/illustrator of three picture books, with a fourth and fifth title releasing in 2022 and 2023. A former adjunct faculty member of the Corcoran Museum School of Art and Design’s aspiring artists programs, she continues to teach art for children and adults. She is a member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Children’s Book Guild of Washington DC, and the National Art Educators Association.
